Prototype Deltic DP1 ‘As Preserved’ OO Gauge
This model has been developed and produced by Bachmann Europe Plc portraying the preserved condition of the locomotive as you can find it at the Locomotion Museum.
The DP1 was first used in service on the London Midland Region of British Railways in 1955, predominantly operating express London to Liverpool freight trains. Although DP1 did see a brief foray into passenger service, J.F Harrison ultimately rejected the design as he didn’t think high-speed engines suitable for railway applications.
