Introducing the Locomotion Whisky, the newest addition to our collection of limited edition National Railway Museum whiskies created in partnership with the award-winning Gleann Mòr Spirits.

This whisky celebrates Locomotion No.1, the world's first steam locomotive to haul a passenger train on a public railway in 1825. We are only offering 100 bottles of this 16-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky to enjoy, which was distilled at Auchroisk and bottled at cask strength - a robust 55.3% ABV. Bottles are numbered 1 to 100, and are 70cl. 

Tasting notes

• On the nose: Caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and malt biscuits.
• Palate: Vanilla cream, peanut brittle, and more chocolate.
• Finish: oily finish with the oak spice.
